Song of Myth (original)

A folk song written and performed by myself and Jamie Duck as part of our course Songform and Practice.

Featuring mythological references and a looping format, as well as Hindi lyrics, the song speaks of death, rebirth, spirituality and a lot more - all over a gentle rhythm and a comforting, simple guitar motif.

Dil Na Jaaneya (cover)

A stage performance of "Dil Na Jaaneya" - A Bollywood Hindi, Punjabi and English song for my School's Summer Concert, with accompanying keyboard, flute and piano.    While I feel I am able to perform this better now, this performance was fundamental in building my confidence, making peace with making mistakes and enjoying the music rather than being overcome with stage fright.

Girl Crush (cover)

My first public performance as a solo artist and a breakthrough in finding my style of singing, as well as the music I am interested in performing and producing.

Video displays a smaller, more intimate cover and rendition of Girl Crush by Little Big Town in my school as part of my Diploma Higher Level course.

A story?.. Contemporary Music Maker

An exhibition/ experience depicting a storyline through the synthesis of visual art and music. As part of my IB Course, I received a 7 (highest mark) for this project called 'The Contemporary Music Maker'.

One of the main aims was to see the varied interpretations made of this piece of media - which ranged from "A fight between depression and happiness" to "A horror, murder story"! The video shows the process of planning this exhibition: some context regarding the inspiration, challenges faced. and the final presentation which featured me singing in Hindi and English to represent the two voices.

Lyrics (translated)

Bhaag

Tried my hand at edm, and obviously it went to tablas. My first attempt and quite proud of it, called "bhaag" as it sounds to rushed.

Havan

An experimental piece inspired and based on Bjork's Atom Dance. The piece, thus, has three parts and an eerie tone using detuned violins and audio distortion. My attempt at making a piece for movies/ tension.

My bands' performance (3:35:00) as part of Goldsmiths' Music Week, where random groups are assigned and we are to make and perform an original within one week. Featuring my and Darcy Clutton's vocals, the piece was daunting and challenging to make - but freeing to perform.
